Be Fearless in the Midst of Life’s Storms.

Fear is a liar.

Fear disarms the peace Jesus provides and promises.

Recall the raging storm while Jesus and His 12 Disciples were making the “short” journey across the Galilee.

Before the storm took place, Jesus taught about faith and the Kingdom of God.

After teaching, Jesus says to His disciples: “Let us go over to the other side.” Mark 4:35.

During the journey, a violent storm began raging, yet Jesus was asleep.

His disciples asked, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”

Jesus rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Mark 4:38-39.

I find myself asking Jesus the same question in the midst of life’s storms.

“Lord, don’t you care about me? Why is this happening to me?”

However, recall that Jesus says “let us go OVER to the other side.”

He is saying we will not drown. Fall or sink.

Life’s storms can leave us feeling defeated and forgotten.

However, as long as Christ is in our boat, we have access to His peace when we fully trust Him.
